Linda Sue Dye

Linda Sue Dye, age 63, of Stonewood, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at United Hospital Center after losing her battle with cancer. She was born November 11, 1954 in Wilsonburg, WV; the daughter of the late Thurman Dye and Lora Mae (Gower) Dye.

Linda is survived by her son, Rusty Leggett & his wife, Kristine of Stonewood, WV; and their two children that she dearly loved, Ryan and Skyler. Linda is also survived  by six sisters, Janet Dye, Mary Ball & Mike, Paula Leonard & Pat of Mt Clare, WV,  Cathy Swiger & Bobby of Clarksburg, WV, Cheryl Critchfield of Stonewood, WV, Karen Martinez & Jeff of Wilsonburg; one brother, William Dye & Sarah of Quiet Dell. Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Michelle Shaw, Lori Gregory, Cari Womeldorff, Robbie Swiger, Ryan Dye, Leanna Dye, Heather Burch, Shane, William and David Critchfield. She has several great nieces & nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a niece, Shana Hufford; and a special friend, Debbie Timmer.

Linda was a remarkable Story. July 2017, she celebrated ten years of recovery from alcoholism, beating the odds. A great big thank you to her very dear friend and sponsor, Andrea for her support. God Bless you Andrea. Way to go Sis. Four years ago, Linda became her mother’s primary Caregiver being faithful until her cancer two months ago. You earned your crown Sis.

Linda has always known the Lord but rededicated her life to Him. She attended Center Branch Assembly of God for a while and Mount Clare United Methodist Church and has a big church family that loved, cared and supported her.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Sunday,  January, 7, 2018  from 2:00 – 8:00 pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00  am with Pastor Brian Plum presiding. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
