Kenneth “Kenny” Emil Gibson, 84 of Clarksburg passed away on March 11, 2018 at United Hospital Center. He was born April 17, 1933 in Clarksburg, son of the late Emil and Levina Chapman Gibson. Kenneth graduated from RW High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Kenny started at Hazel Atlas Glass and worked and retired from Blair Motor Supply Company in the parts department. He loved old cars and especially his 1940 Ford Coupe and his 1957 International Pickup Truck. He was a quiet and simple man that lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and his dog, Blitz.
Kenny is survived by his two children, Eric Gibson, Phillip Gibson and wife Ardella all of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Kurt Gibson and wife Samantha, Cordel Gibson and fiancée Anisa Chandler, Kendra Gibson and Travis Gibson; three great grandchildren, William, Jaxon and Madelynn; one sister, Nancy Barr, Richmond, VA; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ailene Wolford Gibson in 2000; one grandson, Devin Gibson.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Hanlin presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park , where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and Camp Dawson Honor Guard.
