John Franklin Morrison, Sr.

John Franklin Morrison Sr. 89 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Brighton Friendship Rehabilitation and Wellness.  He was born September 20, 1928 in Buckhannon, WV son of the late Claude C and Edna M Heavner Morrison.  John was retired as a mechanic from Sears and the WV and PA Army National Guard.  He was a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge #229 and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.  John was a Lay Speaker at Economy United Methodist Church for many years. He is survived by two sons, John Morrison, Knoxville, TN, Tim Morrison and Shelley, Conway, PA; one daughter, Janice Anderson and Michael, Aliquippa, PA; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph H Morrison and Susan, Buckhannon, James L Morrison and Mona, Fairview, TX, Charles M Morrison, Sr. and Susan, French Creek; one sister, Leoana W Pelicin, Covina, CA; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Betty Ann Lantz Morrison in August 14, 2013; two brothers, Edward C Morrison and Robert E Morrison; two sisters, Freda M Roby and Wendy Wainota Reuss.    The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 11:00am until 12:30pm at the Davis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm at the Mausoleum at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Settles, officiating.
