I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

It's hard to say goodby to my big brother. This is the big brother that taught me how to make money (at the age of 8) selling wood and shoveling snow in the neighbors' walkways. This is the big brother that taught me how to drive and enable me to get my driver's license. This is the big brother that took me on my first college tour (in North Carolina). This is the big brother that was my handyman in Omaha, Nebraska that repaired items in my house and repaired my vehicle. This is the big brother that enjoyed intellectual sparring and I would accommodate him. I am going to miss this big brother. I say to Mike, Derrick, Patrick, Cheryl, and Shannon, keep your Daddy alive in your hearts for he walked tall on this earth. Yes, weep if you must, but know that he left a strong legacy behind for you to remember. I will forever miss my big brother, Jerry and will remember all he meant to me in life. God has welcomed Jerry into his Kingdom. Much Love to all.
