Jack Nardella Obituary

Jack Nardella, 97 of Northview Community, Clarksburg, WV passed away on June 13, 2018 at his residence with family by his side.  He was born October 26, 1920 in Sardis, WV, son of the late Giuseppe Antionio and Grace Colucci Nardella.

 Jack was retired from the United States Army with twenty three years of service. He served during WWII and the Korean War. He was highly decorated with two Purple Hearts, Four Bronze Stars, and one Silver Star. He worked at Kyle and Company and retired from the Harrison County Board of Education. Jack was a hardworking and humble man with a gifted sense of humor.  He was a member at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Northview.

 He is survived by wife, Freda Mae Lantz Nardella; three children, Michael F Nardella and wife Miriam “Micky”, Clarksburg, Rebecca L Nardella Smith, and husband, Adrian, West Milford, Mary Jane “Janie” Nardella Diamond and husband Ron, Bridgeport, WV; six grandchildren, Elizabeth L Nardella and husband, Aaron, Morgantown; Nathaniel W Nardella and wife Nicole, Bridgeport,  Chad M Mowbray and wife Marissa, Chicago, IL, Ryan G Mowbray and wife Christine, Madison, WI, Christa A Buschmann and husband Ian, Pikeville, NC, Kevin S Diamond, Bridgeport;  eight great grandchildren, Troy, Ashton, Gracie, Jackson, Lillian, Zadie, Keaton, Kinley; one sister, Marie Michaels and husband Robert, Orlando, FL; one brother, Raymond Nardella, Woodbridge, VA;  brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, Pamela Campbell, Horner, Vickie Sharp and husband Kevin, Debbie Quattelbaum and Ken, Russell Lantz, Sam Lantz and wife Judy all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Roveto Nardella on July 7, 1966; one son, Donald “Donnie” F Nardella on February 13, 2002; five brothers, Pete, Nide, Joseph, Christopher, and Jimmy; three sisters, Rose Carrozzo, Pauline and Grace Nardella.

Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, WV on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 3:00-8:00pm.  Funeral service will be on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Pastor Richard Settles presiding. Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery, Lewis County where military honors will be accorded by the Lewis County Honor Guard and US Army Reserve.
