Helen Marguerite (Cain) Westfall

Helen Marguerite Cain Westfall, 91, of  Nutter Fort, WV, died Monday, January 7, 2019, at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.  Marguerite was born April 20, 1927, at home in Nutter Fort, daughter of the late Elmer Harrison and Stella Virginia Kester Cain.

On August 10, 1946, Marguerite married Robert Westfall who preceded her in death on November 11, 1984. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Westfall; two daughters, Beverly D’Orazio and Roberta Harden; four siblings, Bernice Hoover, James ”Bus” Cain, Roxie Dent, and Sue Woodyard.

She is survived by one son, Richard Westfall and his wife Joyce of Clarksburg, WV; five grandchildren, Sam Westfall and his wife Kendra, Lisa (D’Orazio) Clark and her husband Matthew, Julie Westfall and her fiancé Phillip Stark, David Westfall, and Maria Westfall and her partner Connie Fallon; five great-grandchildren, Aaron and Brice Westfall, Ben and Sam Clark, and Collin Stark; two step-great-grandchildren, Aaron and Ashley Walton; brothers-in-law Ronald Westfall and James Dent; daughter-in-law Elaina Bramble, former wife of son Daniel;  nephews Roger (Esther) Hoover,  Ron (Andrea) Westfall and Tony (Teresa) Westfall and nieces Dawn Lantz, Peg Plummer, Brenda (Phillip) Gregory and Donna (Larry) Smith.

Marguerite graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1945. She was employed at McNicol Pottery, G.C. Murphy and Dave’s Restaurant in Nutter Fort.  She enjoyed family card games, cooking, sewing, gardening, canning and any time spent with her family.

In keeping with her wishes, Marguerite will be cremated.  There will be a private graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
