Harold Reed Obituary

Harold “Loye” Reed, 79 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1940 in Butcherville, WV, son of the late Kenneth and Mazel Henline Reed.

Loye served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a mechanic working on Heavy Equipment in the Steel Industry. He loved working and collecting cars.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Kraynak Reed whom he married on April 28, 1973; three children, Dana Reed and Robin Reed of Tennessee and Kenneth Reed and wife Carolyn of Ohio; one granddaughter; two sisters, Patty Lambernedis and husband Nick, Clarksburg, Chyrl Hitt of Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Loye was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Sue Ashcraft; and one brother, Robert D. “Bob” Reed.
