Georgia M (Shugars) Montgomery

Georgia M. Montgomery, 81 of Brownton formerly of Lumberport, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born June 10, 1937 in Philippi, WV; the daughter of the late Ervin Shugars and Madeline Pearl Willis Shugars Fitzwater.

Georgia was a CNA for forty years at the Heritage of Bridgeport and her patients were like family.  She was a member of the Brownton Pentecostal Lighthouse. She loved spending time with her family.

Georgia is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Warner of Lumberport, Terry Starkey and husband Michael of Flemington, and one she raised like a daughter, Dakota Loudin and husband Paul of Bridgeport; two sisters, Pamela King of Clarksburg and Ruby A. Pyle of Flemington; eight grandchildren, Crystal and Tracy Fitzwater, Terry Lynn Lewis, Misty D. Lewis, Amber Price, Ashley Riffle, Brianna Goodell and Mikala Starkey; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles David Cavallier; second husband, Bradford Montgomery; two children, Gary L. Fitzwater and Felecia D. Lewis; one grandchild, Chasity Lewis; four brothers, Vernon “Buddy” Shugars, William Neal Fitzwater, Thomas B. Shugars and Timothy M. Fitzwater; one sister, Patricia Fitzwater.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 5-9PM and on Monday, June 10, 2019, from 9AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Reverend Ruth Higginbotham presiding. Interment will follow at Flemington I.O.O.F Cemetery
