George William Limer

George William Limer, age 81 of Clarksburg WV, passed away with a courageous battle of Lung Cancer on Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born March 27, 1935 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Jess J. Limer and Emma Lou (Graham) Limer.

George is survived by his two sons, Bill Lymer & his wife, Tina of Pennsboro, WV and Ronnie Limer of Clarksburg, WV; a daughter, Kimberly Lymer of Clarksburg, WV; four grandchildren, Will Lymer, Darbie Lymer Marple, Brittney Yokum and Jason Dixon, all of Clarksburg, WV; three great grandchildren, Savannah Yokum, Dakota Rhoades, Daniel Dixon; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Frances Kerns Limer.

George loved to go fishing, hunting and spend time with his guinea pigs. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Clarksburg Eagles Aerie No. 2353, Loyal Order of the Clarksburg Moose No. 52, VFW Post No. 573 and American Legion Post No. 13.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2:00 - 8:00pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Jerome Lewis, presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
