Gary Wayne Gardner

Gary Wayne Gardner, 67, of Clarksburg, passed away at his home on December 9, 2019, after an extended illness. He was born January 16, 1952 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Donald and Jean Gardner.  Gary is survived by his wife Richadeen who he has been married to for 48 years.  Also surviving are two daughters Amy Gardner and Dale Lipscomb of Clarksburg; Kimberly and Michael Caruso of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Shelby Phillips, Eric Phillips, Olivia Lipscomb, Lily Caruso and Meadow Caruso; and one brother Donald M. Gardner.

Gary was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and West Virginia University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in geology.  He operated his own business Geo Consultants for 37 years from which he retired.

Gary loved to travel with his family.  He enjoyed camping and sitting on the beach watching the ocean waves.  He was recently able to make one last trip to Myrtle Beach with his brother Don.

Gary’s love and generosity to his cats and dog Daisy was immense.  Gary will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather and too many as “Uncle” Gary.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time.  In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harrison County Humane Society 2450 Saltwell Rd, Shinnston, WV 26431.
