Franklin "Frank" Alford

Franklin “Frank" Alford, 76, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 in Missouri while visiting his sisters.

He was born December 24, 1941, in Booneville, KY, a son of the late Charlie and Francis Alexander Alford.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He served in the United States Army for twenty one years. He was a member of Wilsonburg Baptist Church where he was known as the “Candy Man”. He loved the outdoors, working in the garage, laughing and having fun.

He is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Margaret Ann White Alford; one son, Charles Franklin Alford and wife Sally, Wolf Summit; one daughter, Amy Alford, Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Makala Vore, Kyle Alford, Kaleb “KC” Alford, Austin Folmsbee, Alex Golden, Brianna Golden; two sisters, Katie Huffaker and husband Max of Colo, IA, Helen Alsip and husband Oscar of St. Louis, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several siblings.

Family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Home in Clarksburg on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4-7pm.  Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Blevins officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be accorded by Camp Dawson Honor Guard.
