Ernestine Iona (Richards) Fulton

Ernestine Iona Fulton, 80 of Clarksburg, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at her residence with family by her side after an extended illness. She was born July 31, 1939 in Salem, WV; the daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie George Richards.

Ernestine is survived by her son, Clifford Warren Fulton and wife Marla of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Briar Fulton, Caylee Fulton and Tyler Thomas; two siblings, Robert Richards and wife Melanie of Buckeye, AZ, Winona “Nony” Forrester, Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ernestine is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harvey Fulton on April 14, 2010; five siblings, Kay Carter and husband Ralph, Charles “Butch” Richards, Ross Richards, Mildred Hahn and husband Howard, Jean Yancey and husband Louis; and brother-in-law, Robert Forrester.

Ernestine retired from the Harrison Board of Education as an Office Manager at the United Technical Center. She was a member of the Wilsonburg Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and past treasurer. She loved gardening, doing crafts, cooking, canning, and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family; especially attending all the grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She also cherished the friendships of all that were close to her and she will be deeply missed by many.  

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10am until time of Funeral services at 1:00 pm with Reverend Greg Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Cemetery.
