Ernest "Keith" Hurst

Ernest Keith Hurst, 63 of Clarksburg, Laurel Valley Community lost his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1955, in Harrison County, son of the late Rex Francis and Elsie Irene Flesher Hurst. He graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1973. Keith was a Corporal with the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. He retired from the Louis A Johnson Medical Center with fourteen years of service. He was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed NASCAR. Keith enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren who warmed his heart. He is survived by two step daughters, Traci R Ashcraft and Roderick, Morgantown, Kelli J Frazier, Weston; three grandchildren, Shana Ellen Frazier and fiancé’, Josh Runyon Lost Creek; Lloyd F Frazier II, Weston, Roderick Tyler Ashcraft, Morgantown; three great grandchildren; Natalie, Kenni and Josh; three sisters, Neva Welch, Salem, Naomi Cox, Huntington, Anna Leon and her husband Jorge, Hialeah, FL; five brothers, Ralph E Hurst, Clarksburg, Randall L Hurst and wife Florence, Laurel Valley, Roger A Hurst and wife Diane, Good Hope, Michael L Hurst, WV; sister-in-law, Judy Hurst, Morgantown, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty two years, Alecia “Ellen” Floyd Hurst on July 27, 2017, one brother, Dwight D Hurst. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 PM; funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Richard Settles presiding where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Marine Reserve.
