Eddie Carl Davis Sr.

Eddie Carl Davis Sr. 72 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at United Hospital Center with family by his side. He was born March 25, 1947, son of the late Hearl and Agnes Golden Davis. Eddie worked at Bel Meadows Golf Course as a Groundskeeper for many years. His hobbies included watching dirt track races and mud bogs. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by four children, Kevin Davis Sr. and Betty, Mt Clare, Becky Davis, Clarksburg, Eddie Davis Jr. and Darla, Clarksburg and Nellie Deem and Billy, Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Kevin Davis Jr, Adam Griffith, Tyler Davis and Brett Davis; two great grandchildren, Carson and Paizley; one brother, Gary Davis, Clarksburg; one sister, Alice Collins and Paul, Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie Ann” Davis on May 16, 2019; one grandson, Edward Wayne Davis; two brothers, Lonnie Davis and Kevin Davis.  Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 2-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will follow at Sycamore Cemetery.
