Donald John Caloccia, age 82 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Latrobe Pennsylvania, surrounded by his family. He was born January 14, 1935 in Dawmont, WV; the son of the late William Caloccia and Viola (Moffett) Caloccia.
Donald is survived by his wife, Phyllis “Deannie” (Shiffra) Caloccia of Clarksburg, WV; two sons, Dirk Caloccia & wife Amy of Pocahontas County and Darren Caloccia & his wife, Lisa of Clarksburg, WV; a daughter, Deborah Dodds & her husband, Shaun of Elkins, WV; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Drew, Amanda, Sarah, Corey, Carly, Lauren and Daniel; two great grandchildren, Rhiannon and Anthony; a brother, Romeo Caloccia & his wife, Kathleen of Edgewood; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Caloccia; two sisters, Betty Dutton and Ruth Perkins.
Through the years, Don worked at Westinghouse, Ingersoll-Rand and Pratt Whitney Aircraft where he retired from in 1999. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. Don loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener and enjoyed teaching his kids and grandkids to hunt. He read his bible daily, attended church faithfully and raised his children in a home of Christian faith and strength.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held at Bridgeport Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Shingleton, presiding.
