Deloris Jean Davisson

Deloris Jean Davisson, 79 of Sardis, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the United Hospital Center. She was born October 25, 1939 in Wallace, WV; the daughter of the late Collwell Hutson Sr. and Geneva Roberts Hutson.

Deloris is survived by five children, Jeffrey L Davisson and Darlene, Darnell F Lewis and Dale, Lelia A Phillips and Michael, Lawrence A Davisson and Gregory K Davisson all of Sardis; seven grandchildren, Devin and Sydney Lewis, Ethan, Hannah, and Kirstin Phillips, Megan Tucker and Alan, Andria Lafontaine and Alex; one great grandson, Peregrine “Pip” Lewis; one sister, Patty Cork, Salem; one brother, Collwell “CJ” Hutson Jr and Patricia, Moyock, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Deloris is preceded in death by her husband, Larry K Davisson on November 12, 2008; one brother, David Roberts; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Pisino Davisson on August 26, 1998.

Deloris attended Bristol High School and graduated from Engelhard High School in Engelhard, NC. She retired from United Hospital Center with over twenty five years of service last working as a monitor tech.  Her hobbies were gardening, playing cards and games, doing crafts, cooking, baking and loved spending time with her grandchildren.   

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 2:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Davis Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
