David Allen Drainer

David Allen Drainer, 55 of Stonewood passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was born January 20, 1962 at St Mary’s Hospital, Clarksburg, WV; the son of Nancy Jo (Bennett) Drainer and companion, Marlow Root, Stonewood, and the late David Blaine Drainer.

David is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Lisa Dawn Allman Drainer; three children, Ashley Drainer and Josh Sprouse, Sardis, Tisa Smith and Matthew Smith both of Petersburg, WV; granddaughter, Brooklyn Sprouse; three brothers, Jeffrey Drainer and Penny, Reynoldsville, Donnie Drainer, Clarksburg, Michael Drainer and DeAnna Collins, Clarksburg; sister, Angela Lipscomb and Shawn Watson, Clarksburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenny and Jane (Allman) Lamm, Clarksburg; brother-in-law, Russell Allman; cousin & best friend, Stanley Bennett; six sister-in-law’s and seven brother-in-law’s that he got along with very well; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dave worked for Tom’s Taxi for over twenty years until he became unable to work due to sickness.  He was a very outgoing guy who always knew how to make people laugh.  Dave worked very hard and always put his family first.  Everyone loved his personality and his “warped” sense of humor.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4-8pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Robert Marino presiding. Interment will follow at Mt Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
