Charles "Charlie" Edward Pernell

Charles “Charlie” Edward Pernell, 49 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence, which was his childhood home, due to a sudden heart attack. He was born April 8, 1969 at St Mary’s Hospital, Clarksburg, the son of Marion Elizabeth Wilson Pernell and the late Jerry Pernell Sr.

In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his daughter Shelby Elizabeth Beverly, and granddaughter Abigail Beverly of Clarksburg; two brothers, Jerry Pernell Jr. and wife Sharon of Bridgeport, and Mike Pernell of Huntington; three sisters, Bethann Laurel and husband Jeff of Delaware, Cathy Broadwater and husband Greg of Clarksburg, and Andrea Poe and special nephew, Andrew Pernell of Clarksburg, several nieces and nephews and his lifelong, dear friends, Stacey Kidd and Joseph Tennant.

 Charles loved flowers and worked as a floral designer in Clarksburg for several years and was most recently at Clarksburg City Florist. He also enjoyed painting and drawing and had pictures all over his residence that he had done.

 Charles days consisted of taking care of his mother with the help from his daughter Shelby and granddaughter Abby, which were the apple of his eye.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 3-8pm.
