Cassandra Marie Gawthrop, 34 of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday July 15, 2018 at her residence. She was born January 5, 1984 at United Hospital Center, daughter of Misty Dawn Phillips Nuzum and her husband Robert of Sardis, and James Gordon Gawthrop and his wife Elaine of LaFayette, GA.

Cassandra graduated from Robert C Byrd High School, Class of 2002. She was co-owner with her mother and twin sister of Out of the Way 3 Pet Grooming in Nutter Fort. She loved camping, and swimming and anything outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Skylar Cole Warner; her companion, Eric Warner; twin sister, Kimberly Dawn Smith and husband William, Bridgeport, WV; siblings, Jessica Nicole Delaney and husband Charles, Clarksburg, Sean Nicholas Phillips, Sardis; Taylor Gawthrop, LaFayette, GA, Jayce Gawthrop, Haughton, LA, Jennifer Peacock, Valley, AL, Joseph Wiltzius, LaFayette, GA; paternal grandfather, Abraham Clinton Gawthrop and wife Karen, Athens, AL; step-grandparents, Bobby and Linda Nuzum; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cassandra is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Paulette Labenne Phillips; paternal grandmother, Nancy K Gawthrop; step sister, April Butler.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 3-7pm and again on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will follow at Lumberport Lions Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Funeral Care Fund on her obit page on our website.
