Betty Wallace Obituary

 

Betty Jane Wallace, 97 of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her residence with family by her side. She was born March 17, 1922 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late Calvin Ira and Laura Anne Goldsmith Forester.  

Betty is survived by her daughter, Karen Anne Frederick and husband Joseph, Bridgeport; grandchildren, Joella Kight and husband Jason, Morgantown, Jelana Stoneking and husband Chad, Greensburg, PA, Juliana Curry and husband Brent, Charleston, WV; three great grandchildren, Jenna Kight, Mia Stoneking, and Keaton Curry; one sister, Marjorie Raines, Norfolk, VA; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Wallace whom she married March 2, 1940 and passed on October 6, 2004; sisters, Martha Lou Forester and Dorthea Nicholson.

Betty graduated from W.I. Class of 1940. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who instilled her values of kindness, generosity and love. She was self-taught pianist at a young age and could play classical music and shared her talents with her family.    

Betty was blessed with wonderful loving caregivers over the years, Rose Gerrard, JoAnna Streets, Misty Streets.  Also, care was provided by Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Care.
