Aubrey Webster Rogers, 104 of Salem, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born August 8, 1914 on Grass Run in Salem, WV; the son of the late Sherman and Oma Utter Rogers.
Aubrey served in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed by the state road as a truck driver and then retired from the Harrison County Board of Education as a Bus Driver. His hobbies and enjoyment was farming and the outdoors.
Aubrey is survived by three children, Nancy Morris and husband Alden of Marshville, Jim Rogers and wife Janet of Marshville and Bill Rogers and wife Sharon of Lost Creek; six grandchildren, Debra “Debbie” Roberts and husband Rick, Mike Morris and wife Jennifer, Steve Morris and wife Barbie, Jimmy Rogers and wife Nicole, Tim Rogers and Dan Rogers; eight great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Aubrey is preceded in death by his wife, Oreka Seal Rogers; three sisters, Marie Bennett, Madeline Nicholas and Julia Sadler.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Monday April 22, 2019 from 2-7pm; Funeral Service will be held at Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ron Owens presiding. Interment will follow at the Marshville Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Army Honor Guard.
