Angelina “Angie” Rose Veltri, age 76 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:25 am at River Oaks Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born July 11, 1941 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late Thomas P. Veltri and Mary (Marra) Veltri.
Angie is survived by her one daughter, Tina (Benninger) Cullen, daughter of Archie Benninger and Tina’s husband, Kevin T. Cullen; of Clarksburg, WV; two grandsons, Alex DeMary and Anthony DeMary; one brother, Tom Veltri; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Angie was employed for over 30 years by the telephone company, where she retired from Bell Atlantic. She was a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg, where she loved keeping in touch with all her former classmates. But Angie real passion for life was her two grandsons, whom she helped raise and cherished with all her heart. Angie never met a stranger; she would give all she had to the less fortunate and led by example for her grandsons. Angie was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother that will be deeply missed.
A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Casey Mahone, presiding. Committal of cremated remains will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
