Alan D McKinney

Alan D. McKinney, 61of Brushy Fork Road, Barbour Co. went to his heavenly home August 26, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born in Clarksburg, August 12, 1956. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Delberta Jo Carnes McKinney. He is preceded in death by his only daughter Mallory Jo McKinney and his father, Vernon V McKinney. He is survived by his mother Alice McKinney of Nutter Fort; two sisters, Kathy (Dan) Bonnett and Marcia (Charles) Deusenberry; in-laws, Dick and Patty Carnes, two sister-in-law's, Dianna (Paul) Miller and Sandra (Joseph) Mikes, nieces and nephews, Amanda, Candy, Ricky, Lane and Laken, great nieces and nephews, Charlie, Sophia, KayDee, Brendon and Maddison, four cousins, David Matish, Bobby and Jimmy McKinney and Vickie Meadows. Alan was a 1976 graduate of R-W High School and was employed at Goodwill Industries for 19 years. He attended Life Way BIBLE Fellowship with Reverend Tom Horne. He loved life to the fullest. He was a fun-loving, gentle and caring man. Alan loved to play Santa Claus for the kids. Special thanks to all of his friends and family that shared in his life and his final days. Also thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at J.W Ruby Memorial Hospital for the care that they extended to him and the family during his stay in the hospital. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30am in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Horne presiding.
