John Darrell Brown

John Darrell Brown, 72, of New Martinsville, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Morgantown Healthcare Center. He was born on September 9, 1951, in Weston, WV a son of the late Raymond Floyd Brown and Nellie Irene Suttle Bosley Brown.

John "Darrell" was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and a laugh to follow. Most kind hearted soul you could meet. He enjoyed Steelers, WVU, NASCAR, TV, being on the go all the time, holiday decorating (especially Christmas), going to the beach in Florida, eating T&L hotdogs since his childhood, gardening, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He was a Christian by faith and loved going to church and other functions at First Baptist Church. Everyone loved him dearly.

John is survived by his three siblings, Sherril Burnite and husband Charles of Land O'lakes, FL, Delores Merriman and husband Kevin of Buckhannon, WV and Paul Brown of Charleston, WV; nieces, nephews, and additional family members: April, Donald, Kaleb, Melissa, Tommy, Kristen, Dakota, Allison, Nakiesha, Addison, Harper, Ella, Rhett, Hudson, David, Ricky, Jennifer, Paul, Kim, Adam, Abby, Andrew, Phoenix, Teresa, Michael, Missy, Steve, Kristin, Charles, John, Malcolm, Chuck, Stacy, Megan, and Caleb.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by three brothers Kyle, Dorsey, and Raymond Bosley.
