Vincent D. Cantarelli

Vincent D. Cantarelli, age 90, of Bridgeport, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Patsy Cantarelli and Ermalinda Cantarelli

Vincent is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (Slaughter) Cantarelli; a son, Richard Cantarelli, Sr. and his wife, Becky of Bristol, WV; a daughter, Jan Grisso of Bridgeport, WV; five grandchildren & their spouses, Richard Cantarelli, Jr. & Trista of Bristol, WV, Michael Cantarelli & Chelsie of Bristol, WV, Christina Woods & Josh of Marietta, OH , Andrew Grisso & Sarah of Hagerstowns, MD, and Katherine Grisso of Bridgeport, WV; six great grandchildren, Richard III, Olivia, and JD Cantarelli, Isabella, Parker and Grayer Woods; and a sister, Frances Cantarelli of Clarksburg, WV .

Vincent graduated in 1943 from Washington-Irving High School. He was a radioman for the U.S. Navy during WWII. Vince started as an apprentice at the age of 14 years old as a Dental Technician. He started his own Central Dental Laboratory business in 1969, where he retired at the age of 86.

Vincent was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He enjoyed to WVU Football games and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a kind, hardworking man who was loved by all.

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm, where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 5:00 pm. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Casey Mahone, as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery, where military honor will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard.
