Stephen E. "Papa Smurf" Merryman

Stephen E. "Papa Smurf" Merryman, 62, of Lost Creek, passed away July 11, 2015 at United Hospital Center. Stephen was born July 26, 1952 in Clarksburg; son of the Catherine Griffith Merryman and the late Robert "Butch" Merryman. Stephen is survived by his wife, of 10 years, Barbara J. Smith Merryman; one son, Robert Stephen Merryman; his mother, Catherine Griffith Merryman; one brother, Gary Merryman and wife Tonja; one nephew, Brad Merryman all of Clarksburg; faithful companion, Lucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Butch" Merryman. Stephen was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed camping, hunting and loved Cranberry Glades.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at between 2:00 and 3:00pm at The Bridge at Cranberry Glades, Pocahontas County.
