Roland Adair Nelson

Roland Adair Nelson, age 95, of Bridgeport, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1920 in Petersburg, WV; son of the late Jonathan Nelson and Minnie (Van Meter) Nelson.
Roland is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty Ann Nelson of Bridgeport, WV; three daughters, Kelli Sekela of Bridgeport, WV, Necole & Roger Drain of Mt. Clare, WV and Judy Minch of Pennsylvania; Two sons, Tony Nelson of Clarksburg, WV and Roland & Janet (Gaines) Nelson of North Dakota; six grandchildren, Christian, Payton, Xavier, Ashton, Derek and Courtney; two great grandchildren, Wayne and Waylon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Shelby.
Roland retired from Pyro Tech as a machinist. He spends many hours in his shed doing woodworking.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98 Clarksburg/Nutter Fort on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm; funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Shirley Webster, presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, where military rite will be accorded by Harrison County Honor Guard and Camp Dawson Honor Guard.
