Norma Irene VanReenan

Norma Irene VanReenan of Clarksburg, WV passed away August 19, 2016 surrounded by the wonderful staff at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, WV.
Norma, also known to most as Irene, was born January 10, 1938 in Sardis WV. Irene was the daughter of the late Dessie Hurst Huff and Arthur Huff and Foster daughter to the late Stanley C. Butler and Alberta Lynch-Butler.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Dianna Shipley Cruz and her step daughter Jeri VanReenan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Natasha Kiani, Alex Cruz and Adam Cruz. Her great grandchildren Naomi Saunders and Elijah Antonio Cruz; Her sister Laney Mesto and her brother Melvin Huff along with her many nieces and nephews and their children.
Irene was predeased by her other siblings, Corrine Zickefoose, Ernestine Smith and Earl Huff.
Irene's greatest joy in life was cooking. She especially loved to cook for her church functions.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Sun Valley, WV. All friends and family are welcome. The services will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. directly after church services. A luncheon will follow the service.
Special thanks to Pastor George Mesto and the members of the Word of Life, Davis Funeral Home for the exceptional provisions and Terry Trickett for her devotion to Irene and her memory. Irene was loved and revered by many in life and will be sadly missed and thought of fondly in death.
