Norma Jean Clevenger

Norma Jean (Buchannan) Clevenger, age 87, of Stonewood, WV passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center. Norma was born on October 25, 1929 in Clarksburg, WV; a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Elizabeth M. (Adams) Buchannan.

Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She worked at G. C. Murphy for twenty years.

Norma is survived by two sons, Jeffery Paul Clevenger & his wife, Debra of Summit Park and Joseph Dorsie Clevenger & his wife, Michelle, of Alexandria, KY; three grandchildren, Chance Clevenger, Jason Werner, and Jennifer Werner; four great grandchildren, Scotty and Madison Werner; Brayden and Sarah Arehart; one sister, Betty Harper, Stonewood; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Clevenger, in 1999; eight brothers, Grant, John, Tom, James, Commadore, Charles, Andrew and Joe Buchannan; and two sisters, Kathleen Buchannan and Mary Lightner.

Family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 3-7PM; Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Richard Settles, presiding. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park.
