Mildred Baumgardner

MILDRED BAUMGARDNER, age 84, entered Heaven to spend her eternity with the Lord and her loved ones on Monday April 11, 2016, following an extended illness. Mrs. Baumgardner was married for 65 years to Dorsey R. Baumgardner and they lived in the Liberty Addition neighborhood of Clarksburg, WV. Mrs. Baumgardner, born September 18, 1931, was a daughter of the late Worder and Martha (Griffith) Henline of Clarksburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Glenda Sigley, Beatrice Lockwood, Rose Nuzum, and Dorothy Henline (infant); and brothers Robert Henline, Worder (Jr.) Henline, and Kenneth (Red) Henline.
Including her husband, Mrs. Baumgardner is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Boyce of Atwater, OH and Doris Dean of Clarksburg; three grand-daughters, Carolyn Boyce and companion Kevin Blake of Medina, OH, Shannon Michelle (Jimmy) Gibbner, Kent, OH, and Rachel (Keith) Rice of Philadelphia, PA; two great-grand-daughters, Mallory (Joey) Bruey of Vilsek, Germany, and Emilly Weaver of Kent OH. Also surviving are her sister, Catherine (Cathy) Riley and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Baumgardner was raised in the Salvation Army of Clarksburg and was a long time member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Adamston where she was a member of the Crusaders Sunday School class, spent many volunteer hours at the church throughout the decades, and loved her church family. Mrs. Baumgardner was a former 4-H club leader and volunteer 4-H summer camp counselor. She retired in the 1970s from the G. C. Murphy store in Clarksburg, having worked there for several decades. Mrs. Baumgardner was a 1949 graduate of WI High School.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM; funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brian Plum, presiding. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Baumgardner had requested no flowers. Donations in her memorya€"which will benefit the Good Samaritan Funda€"may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 327 S. 22nd Street Clarksburg 26301.
