Max L, Corley II, 65, left this life on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at his home in Bridgeport WV after a brief but brutal battle with adenocarcinoma. He was born on March 15, 1951 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Max Levere Corley and Opal Irene Corley Felton.
He was a 1969 graduate of Bridgeport High School and was a parts specialist at several local dealerships, including over 20 years of service at Harry Green Chevrolet. He was a huge fan of Nascar , and Mountaineer and Steelers football and spent his retirement time avidly following the their schedules.
He is survived by his life partner of nearly 30 years, Denise (Dede) Rader Kelly; his son Max L. Corley III and wife, Kristen, Hurricane WV; his sister Sharon Corley Spadafore and husband Lou, Grafton WV. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Will and Declan Corley, Hurricane; Arianna Viglianco, Bridgeport; Gavin Snider, Clarksburg WV.
In addition, he is survived by Dede's children whom he helped raise: Corey Snider of Bridgeport and Jennifer Kelly of Nutter Fort; his niece Bethany Ayoub (Albert) and her children Sean, Sophia and Chloe of Milford, CT; his nephew Anthony Spadafore (Angel) and daughter Seraphina, Grafton; Gavin's mother Myriah Jenkins, Clarksburg; his step-father Robert Felton, Boothsville, his step-mother Carolyn Corley, Loch Lynn MD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Liam Corley.
Max was a kind and loving man whose passing leaves a hole in many hearts. Special thanks to those at UHC's Cancer Center for their care and concern the past 7 weeks of his life, it means more than you know.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 3:00pm with Pastor Arthur Malcolm officiating.
