Louella Jean Gaston

Louella Jean Gaston, age 89, of North View, Clarksburg, departed this life in her home on December 1, 2016. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on November 9, 1927, the youngest daughter of the late Homer W. Vance and Emma Cougar Vance.

Surviving are two sons, Donald B. Gaston II and wife Fran, Fenton, MI; William V. Gaston and wife Reta, Clarksburg, WV; four grandchildren, Brooke, Christopher, Jennifer and Marissa; eight great grandchildren, Aiden, Taylor, Emmy, Oliver, Quinn, Glen, Sammy and Mikie; and twelve nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald B. Gaston, three brothers, Walter, Hoy (Dick), Ora and seven sisters, Dorcie, Grace, Pearl, Mildred, Madge, Virginia and Clara.

Mrs. Gaston retired from Anchor Hocking with 42 years of service. She was a proud life long democrat who worked in the Harrison County Democratic Women's Association. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Clarksburg American Legion Post 13, VFW Post 573, Fraternal Order of Eagles 2353, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and Loyal Order of Moose.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00am with Reverend Jerry Lewis, presiding. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery.
