John Henry Randolph

John Henry Randolph, 75, of Salem, passed away Thursday October 11, 2012 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. John was born June 5, 1937 in Taylor County; son of the late Forest Wayman Randolph and Ireta Ruth Queen Randolph. He is survived by one brother Forest W Randolph Jr. and wife Maxine; two sisters Ruth E. Randolph and Mary Etta Randolph all of Salem; and two nephews Neil Randolph and Dalyn Currey. John's life was devoted to education, having taught at Salem College, Fairmont State College, public schools in Cabel and Harrision Counties, Jackson's Mill, Columbus Boys Choir School in Princeton, NJ, and the American School in Milan, Italy. He was a member of the Marshville Baptist Church and an all star in 4-H in West Virginia. Also, he was a true artist at heart and founder of Fort New Salem. Family and friends may call at Greathouse Funeral Home, Rt 1 Box 59 Salem, on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from noon to 5 PM; funeral service at Greathouse Funeral Home, Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10 AM.
