Helen Cantarelli

Helen Slaughter Cantarelli, 88, of Bridgeport, WV passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016 at her residence.
She was born November 15, 1927 in Buckhannon; a daughter of the late H. O. and Grace Mayo Slaughter.
Helen is survived by a son, Richard Cantarelli, Sr. and his wife, Becky of Bristol, WV; a daughter, Jan Grisso of Bridgeport, WV; five grandchildren & their spouses, Richard Cantarelli, Jr. & Trista of Bristol, WV, Michael Cantarelli & Chelsie of Bristol, WV, Christina (Grisso) Woods & Josh of Marietta, OH , Andrew Grisso & Sarah of Hagerstown, MD, and Katherine Grisso of Bridgeport, WV; five great grandchildren, Richard III, Olivia, and JD Cantarelli, Isabella & Parker Woods; a sister, Iris Seachman; and a sister-in-law, Frances Cantarelli; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of 69 years, Vincent D. Cantarelli; four sisters, Virginia Wratchford, Edna Hicks, Margaret Osbourne, Cindy Haslebacher.

Helen graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She and her beloved husband, Vince, worked together for 43 years in their business, Central Dental Laboratory, where she retired at the age of 82.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Chestnut Hills Garden Club. Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, especially to WVU football games and the beach. She loved her family and will always be remembered as a kind, fun-loving, gentle woman who was loved by all.
The Family wishes to extend a special thank you to Helen's caregivers, who gave support, love and care to her, Kathy, Sharon, Eula, Penny, Trista and her beloved Mary Jo.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98, Clarksburg, on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 2 - 8 pm; and a one hour visitation prior to the funeral service at the First United Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 12 pm with Pastor John F. Koerner officiating. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery.
