Ellen Jean Shipplett , 78, of Arlington Addition, died on Monday August 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1936 in Red House, Maryland, the daughter of the late Carl Sisler and Violet Crissinger DeVille.
She is survived by her son, Michael Ray Shipplett and wife Wendy of Roxbough, North Carolina; daughter, Rebecca Hughes and husband Ron, of Jamestown, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Friend and husband Jake of Oakland, MD and Carla Vernon and husband Sam of Hepzibah, WV; three brothers; Lavon Sisler and wife Lillian of Ohio, Steve Sisler of Keyser, WV and Micky Del Gallo and wife Cynthia of Summersville, WV; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Francis Shipplett, who she married on February 8, 1953 died on September 21, 2013 and her sister Phyllis Forsch.
Ellen was a homemaker, she loved making crafts and always had a smile.
At her request, she will be cremated and buried at the WV National Cemetery.
