Edith McIntyre

Mrs. Edith McIntyre, age 93, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at her home with her family at her side.

Edith was born on August 22, 1921 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late Bob and Elizabeth Wood Everson. She worked for Anchor Hocking for 44 years before her retirement. After retirement, Edith got very involved in the CVN and 700 Club giving faithfully and monetarily to the organizations. She was also involved in the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center, and member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. In her spare time she loved quilting, crocheting, loving her kids and sharing stories of the Bible with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frances McIntyre and brother Robert Everson.

She is survived by great-niece, Jean Murphy, of Clarksburg; great-great nephews, Frank Anthony Scalise, Jr., of Clarksburg, and John Watson, Jr., of Beckley; great-great-niece, Angel Scalise, of Ohio; several other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm and again on Thursday from 10am-2:00pm at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/Nutter Fort.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Settles, presiding.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
