Donley Ralph Amos

Donley R. Amos, age 85, of Clarksburg, WV passed away Sunday, April 16, 2016 at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV. He was born November 10, 1930 in Smithfield, WV; the son of the late Ralph Amos and Leanda Amos.

Don is survived by a his wife, Wanda (Moreland) Amos of Clarksburg, WV; a daughter, Pam Amos & her partner, Gene Herbert of Philippi, WV; grandson, Brandon Welch & his wife, Courtney of Stonewood, WV; a great grandson, Logan Welch of Stonewood, WV; two sisters, Barbara Barker of Florida and Marietta of Pennsylvania; special four legged dog, Rachel Ray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant child, Sonny Amos; a brother, Larry Amos.

Don retired from Thomson Development Company and PPG Industries. Mr. Amos was a U.S. Marine and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Little Rock Camp Church where he was an Honorary Deacon.

Family will receive Friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10:00am to time of service at 11:00am with Pastor Tim Sandy, presiding. Interment will take place at West Virginia National Cemetery.
