Dominick Marano

Dominick Marano, age 73 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born June 6, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Joseph Marano and Lucille (Amodio) Marano.

Dominick is survived by his four daughters, Teri Forinash & her husband Curt, DeeDee Kyle & her husband Tim, Barbie Davisson & her husband Chris, and Lisa McDonald & her husband Max, all of Clarksburg, WV; twelve grandchildren, Staci Elder & her husband, Jerrod, Erick Robey & wife Gabby, Maggie Kyle, Dani Jo Noss & her husband, Shay, Sarah Kyle & her fiancé' Jaylen Bartley, Logan Robey & his fiancé Ashley Walker, Emily Davisson, Hannah McDonald, D.J. McDonald , Eli Kyle, Emma Kyle and Laura McDonald; four great grandchildren, Easton Robey, Cayden Elder, Gwen Kyle and Camryn Robey; a sister, Rose Ann Douglas; special friend, Carol Jacques; and a son-in-law, David Robey faithful companion, Molly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Linda Kay Marano who died on February 26, 2006; a grandson, Andrew Curtis Forinash; loving in laws, Bob and Ruth Hurley.

Dominick served in the United States Marine Reserves; he retired in 1998 after 30 plus years of service from the Union Carbide. Dominick loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He devoted his life to encouraging youth through coaching baseball. Dominick began coaching Paul Thompson Little League Team, and then moved onto Babe Ruth where he led his team to several championships. He was an avid sports fan and never missed his Mountaineers, Steelers and Pirates games. Dominick also enjoyed hunting and fishing and time spent with his grandchildren and friends at "Camp".

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Jon Hayes, presiding. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be accorded by Harrison County Honor Guard and the Marines.
