Delmas Brooks Flint

Delmas Brooks Flint, 72, of Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 24, 1942 in Gilmer Co; son of the late Virgil B. and Lula Losh Flint.

Delmas is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Sandra Surock Flint; Last surviving member of his immediate family; two brothers-in-law, John Surock, Sr., Bill Surock; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Fox, Martha Elliott, Linda Dodd and Charles; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Flint, Patty Howard, Sharon Flint Fazzini; four brothers, Donald Flint, Dennis Flint, Dale Flint, Danny Flint.

Delmas worked for Baltis Construction, Creasey Company, BF Specialties, Department of Highways, Tom's Taxi. He enjoyed short wave radio where he made a lot of friends; his other hobbies were hunting, playing cards, visiting his nephew, Don Flint (Junie) to supervise him at his chores, watching wrestling and oldies movies. He was Methodist by faith.

Family will be received at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98, Clarksburg/Nutter Fort, on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 2:00-7:00pm; funeral service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 1:00pm with Reverend Rocky Dodd and Bud Vernon. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
