Carson Alan Devine

Carson Alan Devine, 84, of Clarksburg passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born September 30, 1932 in Salem, WV; son of Patrick Henry and Thelma Evelyn Davis Devine.

Carson is survived by two daughters, Kim and Terry Simons of Clarksburg, Kristi Hixenbaugh of Clarksburg; one son, Kevin and Lisa Devine of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren, Zack, Zane Devine, Kelsey Clark, Chase, Aspen Hixenbaugh; three great grandchildren; one brother, William Devine of Orlando, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Jean (Rollins) Devine, who died on Oct 6, 2006; two brothers, Jim Devine and Bob Devine; one sister, Norma Scott.

Carson served in the US Coast Guard and the Army. He was employed for 43 years as the head of produce manager at Krogers. He was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist in Adamston. He loved to garden.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98/Clarksburg, on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm with Reverend Richard Settles presiding. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Army reserve from Camp Dawson.
