Barbara Joanne Kacinec Migrock

Barbara Joanne Kacinec Migrock, 76 of Masontown, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 29, 1938 in Long Beach, CA, daughter of the late John Michael and Elizabeth Julia Gulas Kacinec. Barbara graduated from Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg; she then served eleven years as member of Sisters of Saint Joseph in Wheeling. She then received her Bachelor's in Education from Arizona State University and Masters of Education and Administration at McDaniel College in Maryland. She is survived by her husband of forty six years, Thomas Donald Migrock whom she married December 9, 1967; two daughters, Joanna Wolfe and husband Ryan, Pittsburgh, PA, Elizabeth "Lisa" Stone and husband Jacob, Wheeling, WV; three granddaughters, Gabriella "Gabby" Stone, Andrea "Andi" Wolfe, Jocelyn "Josie" Stone; one brother, John Michael Kacinec and wife Wilma, Clarksburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Betty Shawhan, Morgantown; Marilyn Wolford and husband John, Arlington, VA; nephew, John Kacinec; nieces, Cindy Morris, Stephanie Byerley and Mary Alice Conley; numerous other nieces and nephews. Barbara was in Catholic Education for over fifty years starting in Clarksburg, WV, moving to Arizona and retiring as an Elementary School Principal at Saint Bernadette Catholic School in Silver Spring, MD. Barbara and her husband then retired to Masontown, WV where she was the creative designer on the new house and landscaping they worked very hard on. She would even add the extra bling and glitter to all projects. Barbara was a member of Saint Zita Catholic Church in Masontown. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, Reedsville, on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm where a Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30pm. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at Saint Zita Catholic Church in Masontown with Father Andrew Switzer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Clarksburg, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Barbara's memory to Saint Zita Catholic Church, PO Box 519, Masontown, WV 26542.
