Athalee Belle Linville

Athalee Belle (Nettles) Linville's earthly life ended on Friday, May 22, 2015 at United Hospital Center and she has now entered her eternal home in Heaven prepared for her by her Loving Father. She was born in Persinger, WV on July 7, 1923, a daughter of the late John Wesley Nettles and Edna Mae (Rapp) Nettles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lee Linville, who died on September 10, 2010 and was always by her side; one brother, Blaine Nettles; four sisters & three brother-in-laws, Thelma & Guy Tinney, Lillian & Grayden White, Arthela & Johnny Morris, and Rosalee Nettles.
Athalee is survived by one son, Dr. Stephen Linville & his wife, Deborah of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Darla Colombo of Shinnston, WV; four grandchildren, Andrew Colombo & his wife, Cheryl of Lost Creek, Robert Colombo of Lost Creek, WV, Kipper Linville & his wife, Emily of South Carolina, Alison (Colombo) Ross & her husband, Jason of Bridgeport, WV and adopted granddaughter and grandson, Amy and Chris Martin of Florida; nine grandchildren, Madison and Caleb Colombo of Lost Creek, WV, Colin and Anthony Colombo of Clarksburg, WV, Isabella and Cassidy Linville of South Carolina, and Brooklyn, Gabriel, and Liliana Ross of Bridgeport, WV; one sister, Barbara Smallwood of Calvin, WV.
Athalee was a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. "Her children arise; they make her happy; her husband too, as he praised her. Many women have done wonderful things, but you surpassed them all."
The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/Nutter Fort on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00pm. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at West Virginia National Cemetery with Rev. David L. Hulme, presiding.
