Alvin V Sexton

Alvin Vance Sexton, age 84 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on September 14, 2017 at Meadow View Manor. He was born July 24, 1933 in Simpsonville, SC; the son of the late John Emmitt Sexton and Ollie Mae Sexton. Alvin was a military police officer; serving in the US Army during the Korean War in 1955. He retired from Cryovac in Simpsonville, SC with thirty four years of service. He was a member of the Church of God, Liberty Addition, Clarksburg. Alvin is survived by his wife, Janette Carolyn Sexton of Clarksburg, WV; a son Terry Lee Sexton of Simpsonville, SC; one daughter, Joyce Ann Villalobos and husband, Eduardo, Simpsonville, SC; four step sons, Donald E Smith Jr and wife, Deborah, Cleveland, TN; Douglas E Smith, Hawaii, Daryle E Smith, Senecaville, OH; Dwayne E Smith and wife Leslie, Tarentum, PA; two step daughters, Darlene E Smith Lynch and husband Roger, Lost Creek, WV; Deborah E Smith Patchell and husband Harold, NY; three grandsons, Kevin Richie and wife Sarah, Fountain Inn, SC, Kenny Richie, Gray Court, SC, Eddie Villalobos and wife Renee, Greenville, SC; two granddaughters, Krystie Arey and husband Mike, Fountain Inn, SC, April Holcombe and husband Charles, TN; 11 great grandchildren, Ethan, Lexie, Zoe, Avery, Alex, Hannah, Abigail, Jordan, Michael, Caleb, Brandon; one brother, George Sexton and wife Joyce, Fountain Inn, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine C Sexton in 2001; two daughters, Wilma Jean Richie and Pamela Mae Morris; and one brother, James Sexton. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Monday September 18, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Bishop Phillip Gross and Bishop Cecil Welch presiding.
